Biosphere is a biodiversity education and exploration platform: species, habitats and stories to learn from, BioQuest to explore and play, verified real-world actions for nature, and BPE token rewards on a test network for eligible activities.

Explore animals, plants and fungi through species profiles, the catalog, and habitat guides to the ecosystems they live in — all built from Biosphere’s scientific and educational content.
Play BioQuest
Follow the guided journey, solve the Daily Mystery Species and play four quiz games built from real data. Discover species, build collections, complete quests and the weekly expedition, and grow as an explorer.
Scan and discover species
Upload a photo to the Field Scanner, when the identification service is available, for a possible identification. It is a suggestion that can be uncertain, not a guarantee. A species new to your field journal earns XP under BioQuest’s rules.
Earn XP and progress
Eligible games, discoveries and quests earn XP, which raises your explorer level and unlocks badges. XP measures your progress in BioQuest: it is not BPE and never turns into BPE.
Take real-world action
Clean up litter, record a wildlife observation or help restore a habitat, and submit your own evidence through Impact Actions. A person reviews each action before it can count for a reward.
Earn BPE through eligible activities
Some Biosphere activities can qualify you for BPE token rewards: completing the daily quest, mastering a species, completing a collection or the weekly expedition in BioQuest, and verified Impact Actions. Each has its own rules and limits, and real-world actions are reviewed by a person before any reward.
Playing a quiz game, scanning a photo or visiting a page doesn’t earn BPE on its own, not every submission is approved, and XP never converts into BPE.
- Choose an eligible activity on Earn or in BioQuest.
- Complete it according to its rules.
- Submit your evidence when the activity requires it.
- Wait for verification where it applies — a person reviews real-world actions.
- Verify your email and link a wallet to receive BPE; a reward waits for you until you link one.
- Track its status on Earn and see the confirmed transaction when it is available.
BPE currently runs on a test network: test tokens have no intended real-world value. BPE is not cash, income or an investment, and the reward amounts and limits are provisional.
