How the species identification preview works

Try the Identify a Species section of BioQuest.

The identification model is not connected yet, so Identify a Species is a preview. Photos from Biosphere show example candidates; photos you upload show a demonstration result that is clearly labelled as such.

Steps

  1. Open BioQuest and go to Identify a Species
  2. Choose a photo — Pick one of the sample photos, or upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
  3. Review the possible match — You’ll see a possible match and other possibilities.
  4. Save it (optional) — When logged in, you can save the species to your discoveries.
